Scrumptious Millet Thalipeeth


Makes : 10 Servings

Ingredients

2 cups/212g      – Ragi / Finger Millet Flour
2 Nos./220g      – Onions (Finely chopped)
1 ½ Nos./185g  – Tomatoes (Finely chopped)
1 cup /225g       – Spinach (Finely shredded) 
3 Green Chilies   
+1 ½ Tsp           – Chili-Cumin Seeds/Jeera (ground together)
8 Nos.                – Curry leaves (Finely chopped)
¼ cup                – Coriander (Finely chopped)
1-1 ½  cups       – Water (Room Temperature).                                                      (Add more or lesser based on the consistency.)
To Taste            –  Black Salt 

Procedure
  • Mix all the dry ingredients 
  • Add the vegetables,spices and seasonings  along with the ground paste. 
  • Slowly add in the water and knead into a semi-hard dough.
  • Roll / Pat into flat small rounds.
  • Grease a hot pan with some ghee and cook the rounds until slightly crispy on the sides.
  • Serve them hot along with some chutney on the side!



~Zesty Ideas:
  • All the vegetables and seasonings can be mixed can be sauteed together in a pan and the mixed into the dough or mixed in raw.
  • You can add grated carrots in the dough as well if you wish to.
  • You can make the thalipeeths with Jowar (Sorghum flour) or Bajra (Pearl Millet flour) if you desire, instead of Ragi . ~
